This renovated Southern California house sits atop an ocean bluff overlooking a cove. Within the framework of the existing structure programmatic elements were added. A strong formal entry sequence was developed by the use of a colonnade; this exterior circulation wraps around the second level connecting to a new roof deck, taking advantage of the coastal views, while providing a visual link to the street. Public areas of the house were opened to the courtyard thereby extending the open relationship to the site.                                                                                                                         back to projects
